Graduated from University Paul Valery in Montpellier, and University Michel de Montaigne in Bordeaux, France, where she obtained a DEUG in Plastic Arts, a Licence and a Master in Visual Arts, followed by a D.E.A. in with a mention in "Communication, Arts & Spectacle", Françoise Issaly did 3 years of research for her Ph.D. before moving to Canada in 1993.
For more than 20 years she has been involved in the Visual Arts scene as a professional artist (www.francoiseissaly.com), as an art instructor, as a member of the Fine Art Collective and as the editor of her own publishing house, Editions FrI, focusing on Artist books, since 2009.
She has shown her work both in solo and group shows in Canada, USA as well as in Europe, Malaysia and China. Her work can be found in many private collections (Germany, France, Spain, UK, USA and Canada) and is represented by Artamo Gallery in Santa-Barbara, California.
She did a residency at the Vermont Studio Centre in 2014 and was invited to participate to the 1st Langkawi Art Biennial in Malaysia. The same year she received the Women in Business Award for her contribution to the art world.
In 2015, she was invited to do a 2 month residency at the Chinese European Art Center, in Xiamen, China and did her first solo show there. She will participate in the 12th Asian, African & Mediterranean International Art Exhibition in Hangzhou, China in November 2015.
